AfriDash ("we", "us") delivers food & goods from partner African food stores & grocers across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We follow the principles of British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's PIPEDA.

Information we collect

When you place an order: your name, phone number, delivery address, the items/order details, and the reference number for your Interac e-transfer payment.
Sellers and drivers: business or contact details needed to fulfil and deliver orders (e.g., store name and address, driver name, phone, email, vehicle details).
We do not collect or store your credit-card or bank-account numbers. Payments are made by Interac e-transfer through your own bank.

How we use your information

To process, confirm payment for, and deliver your order.
To share the delivery details with the seller preparing your order and the driver delivering it.
To contact you about your order and provide customer support.
To keep basic business and tax records.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to run the service, with:

The seller fulfilling your order and the driver delivering it.
Service providers that power AfriDash: Supabase (secure database and hosting), Netlify (website hosting), Resend (email notifications), and Shipday (delivery dispatch and tracking).

We do not sell your personal information.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards, including access controls and encrypted connections, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal and tax obligations, then dispose of them securely.

Your choices

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete information we no longer need. Email admin@afridash.ca and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the latest version.
